Chelsea 1 Tottenham Hotspur 3
Well, well, well… they mocked and said that Chelsea was going to win and we crept up and kicked their dummies out of their mouth and got the three points.
It was Easter Sunday, and the sun begrudgingly crept out and gave us a little light, probably baby Jesus was a Spurs supporter and smiled upon us, or Bill Nicholson was up there in his high seat showering us with his magical dandruff (i.e. shaking his head) so that his warm sprinkles touched each player… or maybe it was just that we didn’t need any help but the better side one.
I can’t imagine Bill Nicholson getting one over baby Jesus and saying “No, they are my team and I will tickle their testicles into a winning formula. It has been done before, but one has to pay extra for that, especially here, down on good old earth.
Whatever the argument is, we won, and we won convincingly. We got our three points and made the distance between Chelsea and Arsenal even more prominent, and in the process proved that we are the London team of the moment.
We had only suffered one league defeat at our temporary Wembley home, and that was the very first game of the season against Chelsea. I was at that match, and I can say that the better team didn’t win, in fact, we should have won it or at least got a draw. But it wasn’t to be; the bastards pinched it from us. Now they’ve got their comeuppance. And that will teach them.
Whatever the reason, or maybe they just stuffed themselves with Easter eggs, probably in the wrong direction… too much star gazing and thinking of Uranus. The mind boggles.
To the match: Morata scored first, after 30 minutes, because of a mistake by Lloris but then Eriksen responded fifteen minutes later with a superb strike from outside the box. A draw was on the cards, some drooled and dribbled, but not me… I wasn’t going to take that and knew we could do better.
The second half was 7 minutes old when Alli scored a brilliant goal to take us 2-1 up, that was more like it. And we had more of the possession (as we did when we faced them at Wembley, the first game of the season).
Four minutes later that impish Alli again, made it three-one, and the crowd erupted, and then there were signs of Chelsea fans starting to get up and leave their seats. Thinking an early exit was better and there was no point in getting their faces pushed even further into the shit.
But then dribbles started turning into mass walkouts, and they were off. They could see the writing on the wall, and this was their fourth league defeat at Stamford Bridge. Oh, the poor bastards we cried… actually, we didn’t, we just cheered and continued watching the game come to its final climax (and we all know what a good orgasm can achieve!!!).
So we walked away (from the ground) cheering our heads off, and they slunked into the corner hoping not to be noticed.
I think that the Chelsea rent boys could start smelling the stink in the air before they showed up. The stench of the writing was on the wall (
there is no harm repeating yourself if it is for a good cause). I even saw some of them clenching their testicles or their girlfriend's testicles in the hope that it would ease the sorrow in their hearts. To be honest, on a good day the girls looked like the boys, and the boys looked like their mothers; true love coming out. But I am wandering all over the place with excitement. It is the match we should be concentrating on, not the boys with oddly shaped testicles on display.
So, a well-deserved win and a happy Easter to all. I went home with a few extra Easter eggs and stuffed myself, but not before I drowned my happiness with an alcoholic beverage or three. You can't beat being a Spurs boy or girl nowadays. They are the ones who have the bigger balls and a smile on their faces. They apparently like a game, not just playing it.
So that is that, and we march on to our next game, this will be against relegation strugglers Stoke City. No matches are comfortable, and this one, being away, isn’t going to be as easy, as they also want the points as much as us.
Until we meet again, and it will be soon, enjoy and see you again.
