Swansea City v Tottenham Hotspur FA Cup Quarter-Finals Saturday 12.15 pm Saturday.
Tomorrow we will challenge for the only trophy we have a possibility of winning for this season. It will be an important game for us, but not an easy one. Swansea has been uplifted since Carlos Carvalhal took control of the Swans. I would imagine they would be delighted if we ended up in a penalty shoot-out. A penalty shoot-out is equivalent to tossing a coin; it is the luck of the draw.
What will be interesting to see tomorrow is who he puts up front. Llorente or Son? Llorente is a former player, and by picking him, it might unsettle the home teams. At the same time, Son did well when he went up front when Kane was injured; he also has been playing well this season.
I don’t think it will go as far as a penalty-shootout. And don’t forget there has to be a result on the day.
If we fail tomorrow, this will put a dampener on our season. Let us hope that that isn’t the case and that we are in full throttle.
Team News for tomorrow.
Swansea’sJordan Ayew will miss the match through suspension. Ayew, Swansea's 10-goal top scorer, starts a three-match ban. Therefore Tammy Abraham should start in attack. Their loan midfielder Andy King is ineligible.
Kane will miss the match and will be out for at least a month because of his injury against Bournemouth. Personally, I don’t think it is a great tragedy as he hasn’t been firing on all cylinders and the rest will give him a chance to regenerate himself.
Dele Alli and Danny Rose will face late fitness tests.
So, let us get behind the team and see you all tomorrow.
Yours Truly,
