Southampton v Tottenham Hotspur, St Mary's Stadium, 4 pm.

Tomorrow we face Southampton (we beat them 5-2 at Wembley). In the meantime the results are coming in and it isn’t good reading for us. United have beaten Burnley 1-0, Chelsea beat Brighton 4-0 and Arsenal win 4-1 by beating Palace. City are playing Newcastle tonight. Liverpool play on Monday.

With Arsenal trying desperately to catch us up, and Chelsea and United get further away, the importance of tomorrow’s match hits us harder. Nothing but a decisive win over Southampton will do.

We have a strong squad, however, there is some question marks over Lloris’ fitness (he is ill). We will know tomorrow. The only other outs are Alderweireld, Winks and Rose. Toby is getting close to fitness and should be in contention for the Liverpool game (hopefully).
If Lloris is out, then I am sure that Vorm will be an adequate cover.

As for Southampton, Maya Yoshida could be back after suffering a minor injury. They could be picking the team that faced Watford. Charlie Austin is still out.

So there you have it. I will be shortly off to Southampton, so get behind the team and give them your 100% backing.
