OK, let us start with the bad (I know what you are thinking, is there any good?). After the game against WBA Pochettino was quite relaxed inwards and knew he had some work to do. But after the game against Leicester he held it in while being interviewed, then behind closed doors he relaxed his mind. He wasn't happy. Maurice Pocchettino and his team have invested a lot in this season and was ready to challenge on all fronts. The league cup exit was considered a blip, but the league is a different kettle of fish. He is perplexed and angry. He knows and has said that this season he has a better squad than last season and he has been quietly building something better and special. Yesterday's performance wasn't  good enough. Players can't consider themselves worthy of clubs like Real Madrid if they aren't capable of doing their day to day job in the Premier League.

Who needs a kick in the bollocks. Look on social media and you will get a different answer. However, looking at who to praise and you need to look no further than Lamela.
While City’s league title aspirations could be over by Christmas (i.e. they’ve sewn up the league) ours also could be over (i.e. Hopes of a top-four finish is also over). And don’t expect us to go further in the Champions league if we can’t beat teams like Leicester or Swansea or Burnley, because it ain’t going to happen.

Then there is a the FA Cup… ok, let us not go that far. The beginning of the season we talked about the Wembley jinx and great away form. Not it is both home and away that is the talk of the town.
We were the talk of something special, now the comedians are out, with us being the butt of their jokes.
Saturday we’ve got Watford and another defeat could send the team into a slump, which would be very hard to get out off.
Wake up and smell the coffee… you are talented players… not West Ham wannabes. What more can one say other than we have to keep watching this space and hope things improve.

Your, Don Scully
