Spurs 2 West Ham 3

The day started off fine. High hopes were in the air. The trip to the stadium was great and when I got there I settled down for a meal and prepared for the night ahead. The team news was shown, with no surprises really there. We knew he was going to rest players.

We were on a high, while West Ham was on a low and there was talk of whether Bilic would last to see this gam,e because of his poor record. But alas he did.

The KO commenced and before you knew it we were one up. All going to plan so far. Then we got another and we thought it was basically all over. A few sloppy passes by the Spurs team raised its ugly head in the first half, but we knew.

Then the second half was here and before you knew it we were suckered punched. First one, then another and before you knew it they got a third. What we showed in response was a poor performance. But we hoped... and waited, and waited and the final whistle blew. Anger rose from the crowd and we stormed off in a huff. "What the hell happened," came shouts from the crowd. "For God's sake, we were against a club that was in trouble" we gasped. But all that anger didn't change the result. We lost. Any consolation we could get from the match was that it was only a Micky Mouse tournament and that it was only used to try out other members of the squad. Our heads started to lift and we thought of Saturday and what followed Saturday, we were going to face Real Madrid. Let the Spammers have a match that will only temporarily keep Bilic in position. At least we are up there with the God's of football, competing with the best (and undefeated). What more do we want? Ah! Rome wasn't built in a day and we've got a new stadium. So there spammers... we can smile a bit longer... can you?

Roll on Saturday so we can show the rest of the footballing world what we are made of.

Take care and see you on Saturday. Don Scully.
