Real Madrid v Spurs

This should be a cracker of a game. Both teams have identical points and both have had a great start. Of course, the favourites will be Real, after all, they are on their home ground. But they are not invincible. They can be beaten and I am hoping that Spurs can be the team to do just that. A win on their ground will set us up nicely for the rest of the season. We would grow several inches higher. Of course, I can hear the readers laughing as most will expect a draw would be a brilliant result. But I've always been optimistic where Spurs are concerned and that optimism has paid off in the past.

We've only lost one game all season and still in all the cups and in a healthy position. And we've broken our league jinx at Wembley.

Team news

Jan Vertonghen is back after suspension. Alli is out for this game and them back.
Mousa Dembele is in contention to feature, but Victor Wanyama remains out along with Danny Rose and Erik Lamela.

Gareth Bale is in a race to be fit to face us.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas is a doubt after a muscle injury on international duty. This could mean Kiko Casilla could start on Tuesday.

Tottenham have faced Real Madrid just four times in their history; losing three times and drawing once.
The most recent games were in the Champions League seven years ago which saw the Spanish giants run out 4-0 winners on aggregate to reach the semi-finals. Nevertheless, I think this time around we have a better team.

Those that are going, enjoy the trip, those that are watching on TV, enjoy, but whatever one is doing cheer your/ our team on to victory.

Yours Truly, Don Scully
