Let us take a look at some of the news this has been doing the rounds.

Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins tried his hardest to keep striker Llorente. He was offered an improved contract. But after one season, and a top club beckoning he had no other choice but to take Tottenham's offer. The World Cup winner left the Swans after just on season. Of course this didn't stop the fans criticising the club for not keeping their top players and lack of ambition. We will be facing them next Saturday in the league.

Borussia Dortmund will be without two of their top players on their trip to Wembley this Wednesday. Both both Marcel Schmelzer and Marc Bartra suffered injuries this weekend.  A disappointing 0-0 stalemate away to Freiburg for Peter Bosz’s men was compounded by both Schmelzer and Bartra being forced off during the opening first half. Full-back Schmelzer set to miss up to seven weeks with a partial ankle rupture. Former Barcelona stopper Bartra is struggling with an adductor injury. It seems highly unlikely that he will recover in time to face Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the injury sustained by Moussa Sissoko does not look serious.
The French international was subbed late into the game after going down when challenged by Ashley Williams. Hopefully he will be fit for Wednesday's game.

There is a lot of talk and speculation about Toby Alderweireld's contract and about other clubs coming in. But as I reported in one of my earlier blogs, Spurs are in the driving seat and if they don't want to sell him they don't have to. In two years time he will be thirty and things will have probably changed.

Players, fans and  commentators have been jumpi
ng through hoops to praise Davinson Sanchez's performance against Everton. As I have said many times before, we bought well in the summer transfer window. I am confident that if we get injuries we will be able to cope. In fact we've got injuries and we can cope.

Vincent Janssen left White Hart Lane to join Turkish club Fenerbahce on loan. The Dutch striker did not have a good season with Spurs. The finer details of the loan deal were reported in the Turkish press that Spurs have made a good deal. Janssen was signed on a season-long deal and that Fenerbahce agreed to pay €2.5million as loan fee to take Janssen temporarily. The deal also doesn’t have a right of redemption for the Turkish club at the end of the loan deal. There is no confirmation on what percentage of Janssen’s salary would be covered by Fenerbahce but for whatever they are paying, it looks like Daniel Levy has struck a brilliant deal.

That is most of the more interesting new. So, take care, look after yourself and count the days and minutes until we all meet again this Wednesday. Life - supporting Spurs - can only get better.
