Everton v Spurs at Goodison Park 3 PM KO

The match tomorrow between Spurs and Everton will be a mouthwatering tie. Both clubs have something to prove. Everton has won one, drew one and lost one, exactly the same record as Spurs, with the same many points. Everton has a home advantage, but that shouldn't stop any team that has an aspiration to challenge for the title. On paper and in the heart Spurs should be favourites, but that usually goes by the wayside - favourites, that is - when one gets down to the nitty-gritty.

In the history of the two clubs, Spurs have beaten Everton 64 games to their 54 (with 55 drawn). Our very first game against them (at Everton) was 6th February 1904, in the FA Cup. Of course, this isn't an FA Cup match, but a league battle. That was on the 4th September 1909, and they won that match 4-2. But closer to today - which was last season - we won - at White Hart Lane - 3-2 (5 March 2017), their last win against us at Goodison Park was on the 9th December 2012 (score 2-1). So a lot to play for, as there always is, against any team.
13th August 2017 Score 1-1

Our last game against them at Goodison Park was on the 13th August 2016. It ended in a 1-1 draw.

News in or out for tomorrow's game: Schneiderlin, Pickford and Klaassen should be back for Everton. Also, their new signing Nikola Vlasic will be involved.

As for Spurs; new signing Serge Aurier might play. But Trippier, Wanyama, Rose, Lamela and Nkoudou are still injured.
