As the result says, we won - convincingly - against Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town. It could have been more if we hadn't taken our foot off the accelerator in the second half. Not only that but Kane - who got two - had a perfectly good goal disallowed. He should have got his hat-trick.
I predicted 3-0, was humming and harring for 4-0, but ended up with the wrong one. Won't complain though because whatever I or anybody predicted it didn't matter, so long as we got a good and convincing result then there can be nothing more to add.

Harry kane showed his brilliance and took his September goal tally to 13. His two goals today inflated Huddersfield enthusiasm and ended up as part-time actors to the main event.
The first goal came when Kieran Trippier shot a header into Huddersfield’s half and left back Chris Lowe tried pathetically to stop it with a pathetic leg thrown out.

Kane took advantage and fired on goal. Ben Davies made it two, and comfortable, slotting home after more defensive mistakes from the newly promoted team. That’s three goals and three assists in last nine league games for Davies. Kane popped up with his second, and our third. Turning Christopher Schindler across the edge of the box and fired into the top corner from 22 yards. Twenty-three minutes were on the clock and it was 3-0. This was going to be our first win over Huddersfield since 1954. Kane could have had more. Kane had a goal disallowed, while Dele Alli hit the post before half-time. Alli did get a yellow card for diving over keeper Jonas Lossl, blatant foul that earned a yellow card.

Huddersfield was poor in defence were confused by the way Spurs played. It is going to be a tough season for Huddersfield if they continue playing this way. Injury time came and Moussa Sissoko - sub - goal our fourth goal. This was because of a cross from Ben Davies. Game over and three points for us.

So, now we go into a break - international football - and return on the 14th October, against Bournemouth. We have a busy October in front of us. If we can come out of it and into the other side (November) intake, then anything is possible (bearing in mind we've to Real Madrid - if you get my drift?). And that possibility means we are equipped to challenge everything that is put before us. But let us not jump ahead and enjoy the fresh scent of glorious victory.

I think September has been a good one for us. Kane, started his goalscoring record and we are undefeated. Next month will start with a great win at home, against Bournemouth, which will kickstart many more home victories. As the song says, "keep on smiling," after all, you are Spurs supporters. Can it get any better than that?

Yours Truly, Don Scully
