Are we on the road to greater things now?

Welcome to today's news and speculation.

We must start by congratulating Kyle Walker-Peters for signing a new contact until 2022. We also welcome a new member - goalkeeper - Paulo Gazzaniga, from Southampton. Pochettino has worked with him before at Southampton. Speculation has started to irrupt on whether he will replace Lloris or not, specially after his bad performance (or two mistakes) after the Chelsea game. We'll have to wait and see on that one.

Another name in the mix (transfer possibilities) is Lazio's winger Keita Balde Diao. It has been reported the asking price is €30 million. In my previous article I mentioned that Spurs (Levy/ Pochettino) have a list of about 10 players they want. I know this man is also on the list. Spurs put in various bids in the hope of landing 3 or 4 of the names they want. We will have to wait and see if they are successful. Remember the closing deadline is 31st August (Thursday).

It looks like West Brom is going to put in two bids for Wimmer and Janssen. In the case of Janssen, this might depend on whether we get cover for Harry Kane. Of course we've got youth cover, but that can be risky. 

George Nunn, of Crewe Alexandra, might be coming to Spurs (at the moment this is just a rumour, I haven't heard anything more from my contact). 

A side note; Spurs, or Levy, will have talks with Rose about his future/ comments he made about the club. This is at an interesting time as one or two other clubs are sniffing around and if Levy isn't happy he might off load the wayward defender. But this is just speculation. 

As reported yesterday, Serge Aurier has agreed personal terms with Tottenham. But that doesn't mean it is allover, bar the shouting. There is still a few small details to iron out. I shall report more when I hear it.
