So, the news as we have it. Remember, paper speculation is just paper speculation until it becomes an irrefutable fact, and it becomes irrefutable when it is made official by Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Right, first up. Davinson Sachchez has passed his medical, according to my contacts. You should get the official news shortly. He should make a fine acquisition to the squad.

Danny Rose is an interesting one as some want to keep him and others feel that his outspokenness is unacceptable and betrayed what they (the club) have done for him (i.e. nurturing him). According to my sources, Spurs will look at many options, including replacements. I will keep you updated on this as and when I have that information.

There is a couple of signings or possible signing in the process. Names you are familiar with, such as Serge Aurier and Juan Foyth, but they are not a hundred percent as the fine detail has to be looked into.

Ross Barkley. I know for a fact that Spurs want him. They are not too concerned with his injury, and Everton wish to sell him quickly, but it has to do with the price. Somebody who will be out of contract within 12 months is not worth the official asking price. But like anything, this can be negotiated. Chelsea is a red-herring created by the press, but that doesn't mean they aren't lurking in the background. The red-herring could also be planted in the reporters' minds - by Everton - in the hope of forcing Spurs to part with more money. This is what I am hearing, but that doesn't mean what I've heard won't change.

These stories are the main ones, a lot more is bollocks, made up by the press for something to say. Of course, that doesn't mean they won't come true, but the press certainly doesn't have deep insight. We all have contacts, but contacts don't mean dead-certs, just that bollock talking has to be looked into very carefully. As all good things in life do.
