There has been a lot of speculation about whether Ross Barkley will come to Spurs or not. Now he has been injured the papers are saying any deal is off. Actually, that sort of talk is wrong. It just means that deal has become more interesting. Everton has an abundant of players in his position, and of course, his contract is up at the end of this season, and he can walk. That means Everton need to get rid of him. This could mean that they are forced to drop their asking price. Neither club or player are in a position to argue the toss. That doesn't mean he will go to Spurs, just that the deal - if there is a deal - is going to get more interesting.
