Are we on the road to greater things now?

With hours to go, we've had a good transfer window. Aurier, Paulo Gazzaniga and centre-backs Juan Foyth and Davinson Sanchez. Now there is speculation - in the dying hours - of more players. Fernando Llorente (Swansea striker), Andre Gomes and maybe another. As for Gomes, I am not sure if this will be on loan or a permanent move. 

I know that Barkley was of interest to Spurs, but at the moment that seems to have cooled. But Daniel Levy is full of surprises and can take things right down to the wire. Any club could come in and snatch some of the players I have mentioned, and of course, we have done the same in the past. There is no love lost or gentleman's agreement where football transfers are involved. If either can kick the other in the balls and get something out of it they will. 

So far the squad looks like it is in shape. We have a tough fixture list ahead of us in all competitions. I, for one, can't wait until we resume our conquest for trophies.
